CFA Montréal is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo-Ann Hajdamacha to the position of Executive Director, starting July 19, 2021. She will be taking up her duties as the first year of CFA Montréal’s new three-year strategic plan gets underway. One of the stated priorities in this plan is to uphold the quality of the services provided to members and CFA candidates, in addition to building engagement by offering them a better and broader range of membership benefits in line with their changing needs.

Hajdamacha comes to this position with experience in a wide variety of fields, along with an in-depth understanding of associations and how they operate. Her past roles include account manager for Réseau Capital and head of member services and sponsorships at Anges Québec. More recently, she worked as an independent human resources consultant, helping small and medium-sized businesses grow and thrive.

“We are delighted to welcome Jo-Ann aboard,” said CFA Montréal President Carl Robert, “Her personal qualities and her high-level expertise in governance, client services, partner relations and human resources make her the perfect person to lead us forward in achieving our goals and fulfilling our mission.”

“I’m very excited to be joining the CFA Montréal team and making an active contribution to supporting members in practising their profession, advancing in their careers and promoting the CFA designation,” said Hajdamacha. “The challenges ahead and the engagement of our members and candidates will be among my top priorities.”

Hajdamacha will be taking over the reins from outgoing Executive Director Caroline Soulas, who had occupied the position since 2016: “I’d like to thank Caroline, who played a pivotal role in the professionalization efforts undertaken by CFA Montréal in the past year,” added Hajdamacha. “As a result, I’m joining a strong association with an excellent reputation within Montreal’s financial ecosystem. I’m also grateful to the Board for entrusting me with this leadership role.”
