IMPACT OF RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY ON ASSET MANAGEMENT
Research and Technology are disrupting the asset management industry, and these two aspects have become fully intertwined.
Research is providing a greater understanding of performance and risk drivers in our industry. It allows for the design of systematic investment processes in all public market asset classes that can explain up to 80% of the performance of top quartile managers in the long run.
Technology is also making it possible to replace or complement financial activities that were traditionally handled solely by portfolio advisors and investment specialists. It also allows for new delivery platforms for investment products. ETFs and Robo advisors are but a glimpse of what is to come in the near future.
This transformation will be addressed by four top speakers.
