You are at the center of our concerns
Today, there is no longer any doubt that diversity in investment teams generates long-term returns. A new program challenges companies to support a more inclusive investment profession and take concrete steps to encourage diversity. Our June CFA exams attracted more than 2,000 people, 25 per cent of whom were women interested in financial professions.
As a sign of the times, Margaret Franklin, CFA became the first Canadian woman to lead CFA Institute in June. We were very pleased to welcome her last month at the conference, which we hosted this year and attracted nearly 200 people. Let’s hope her remarkable journey will inspire many women to choose a career in finance! By the way, the Women’s Scholarship application process is now open for the June 2020 exam if you want to apply.
I am pleased to announce that to allow you to participate in the CFA community, we’ll be raffling off some 30 tickets each year for our various events. The draws will take place among all CFA Montréal candidate members, and you’ll be notified by email. Follow social media to stay informed about the draws! Become a member.
We offer you the opportunity to make your voice heard and contribute to the improvement of services for CFA Montréal candidates. We’re looking for volunteers to participate in a committee that will examine how CFA Montréal can better support you in your CFA journey. Please contact us if you’re interested.
Have a good fall, and good luck to those of you taking the Level I exam in December!
