It’s official: the mentoring program is back in full swing! The Mentoring Committee and its members —Alexander Comeau, CFA, Catherine Lévesque-Roussel, CFA, and Philippe Masin, CFA — with help from the Pairing Committee, found matches for 17 dyads, thanks to a group of dedicated mentors committed to guiding and inspiring the next generation.

The pairing process is undoubtedly the key to the success of this program. Each profile is carefully scrutinized to find mentors and mentees who are a good fit.

The year-long support that each dyad is entitled to is yet another winning feature of the program. A first seminar on how to leverage individual strengths for career advancement and a successful mentor-mentee relationship, moderated by Johanne Thibeault, was the perfect jumping-off point for participants as they started to build their relationship.

“When both the mentor and mentee are engaged in gaining a better understanding of themselves and their individual strengths, they will emerge richer for the experience,” said Johanne Thibeault at the launch.

Mentors and mentees from the past two years, whose experience was somewhat tempered by the restrictions and repercussions of the pandemic, were delighted to meet up in person at a cocktail reception on January 19.

CFA Montréal is incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who are involved in this program and, in so doing, are helping future industry leaders put the foundations in place for a successful career.
