To fulfill its multiple goals, stated in the introduction page of this website, the Board is composed of key positions and committees with respective objectives and functions:

President

Among the President's most important functions are his/her duties to coordinate/monitor the activities and responsibilities of each Board Member and Committee, chair meetings, sit on the CCFA Board as the representative of the Montreal CFA Society, present speakers at conferences and trouble-shoot.

Vice President

The Vice President's duties are to support the President in all his/her duties and take over should the President be unable to continue his/her role.

Treasurer

The Treasurer's function is to solicit proposals to derive a master budget, monitor financial controls, maintain financial records, monitor bank accounts & statements, review investment objectives & monitor investments, review tax reporting and prepare year-end statements.

Corporate Secretary

The Corporate Secretary's duties include taking minutes the Board as well as maintaining all relevant files useful to the Montreal CFA Society.

Program Committee

Its role is to create an annual activity program of conferences and events and organizing these activities.

Membership Committee

Its role is to administer all details pertaining to membership issues: lists, inquiries, transfers, membership applications…

Communications Committee

Its functions include the publishing of a Newletter and the management of the Montreal CFA Society's communications in general.

University Relations Committee

Its role is to establish and maintain contacts with Finance Concentration professors in Quebec universities and to provide opportunities for students to meet with investment professionals.

Education Committee

This Committee's role is to assist CFA Charterholders in their continuing education endeavours as well as CFA candidates in their goal of becoming Charterholders by offering educational services such as seminars, lectures or other useful tools.

Executive Administrator

His/her role is to assist and support Board Members/Committees as well beeing the first contact for members, candidates and public in general. The creation and maintenance/enhancement of the Montreal CFA Society's internet web site.
