DESCRIPTION : The Future of Securitization in Canada and around the world
Mr Kiff: Title: "Policy initiatives to restart securitization: Beware of unitended consequences." "Most of the recent European and U.S. policy initiatives aimed at restarting securitization markets on a sounder and more robust basis are unambiguously positive for both securitization markets and financial stability. However, their combined impact could actually halt, not restart, securitization."
Ms. Rabiasz will talk about the State of the Canadian Securitization Market. This presentation will update the audience on the status of securitization in Canada, starting with our Canadian ABCP Crisis, and how it has affected funding in Canada – both term and ABS and will discuss what has evolved since then. Key takeaways will include securitization trends, what has changed, and an outlook for the future.
