After a multi-year bear market for Canadian Small Cap stocks, is this the start of a secular downturn for the asset class or a prolonged cyclical downturn?  How does one position his/her portfolio in the current turmoil.


Mr. Beauregard will talk about
Global small cap equities – diversification and a source of alpha
Global small cap stocks are often absent from diversified portfolios.  Although they comprise over 85% of listed companies on developed exchanges, including most of the publicly traded infrastructure or real estate stocks,  two less liquid assets classes that receive a lot more attention and allocation.  The Speaker will describe the asset class and show how an allocation may provide diversification on a risk-adjusted return basis.  Finally he will describe how alpha can be generated on a consistent basis.
